The Manager's main goal is to assist the company in providing a strong leadership presence and control in store, while ensuring that all customers receive good service and quality product while also motivating and inspiring their team to achieve store productivity goals. It is their responsibility to help analyze and develop action plans to drive top line sales. Other responsibilities include; maintaining payroll budgets, responsible for recruiting and hiring appropriately to ensure shop is fully staffed at all times, effectively manage the store operations, ensuring consistency and compliance at all times, and ability to ensure the individual skills of the team are utilized effectively so both the staff and the customer experience is positive.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Helps Company in identifying training needs and providing ongoing training opportunities to the team as needed.
  • Utilizes company tools to stay current on pictures and descriptions of merchandise as well as maintaining online and in-shop product menus.
  • Planning/adjusting weekly employee schedules along with filling in for employees who are sick and/or fail to show to ensure every shift is covered at all times.
  • Assists in hiring and actively recruiting to ensure open positions are filled quickly.
  • Responsible for cash management practices; money orders, change, deposits, cash reconciliation, keeping track of daily sales and expenses in POS, etc.
  • Consistently creates a welcoming environment for the customer by greeting and assisting; as well as quickly responding to customer needs.
  • Helps upper management to plan, coordinate, and execute monthly employee meetings.
  • Ensures all pricing, signage, and displays are correct at all times.
  • Receives regular vendor deliveries, builds purchase orders, and successful in keeping the floor stocked in a timely and ongoing manner.
  • Responsible for inventory and METRC, making sure everything is accurate and reconciled.
  • Responsible for creating and submitting biweekly merchandise and paraphernalia orders based on the shop's needs.
  • Regularly communicates with upper management to discuss strengths, opportunities, and trends in the industry.
  • Responsible for maintaining a strong, positive, and compliant online presence.
  • Help step in and budtend when short staffed or when staff is overwhelmed during busy hours
  • Enforces all company policies and procedures, including health and safety.

Requirements:

- Must have retail management experience

- Marketing and networking experience a plus

- Must have a valid MED state badge

- Must be at least 21 years old - Retail marijuana experience a plus

- Must have excellent attendance and professionalism

- Must be detail oriented and able to handle cash, and operate a POS register

- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (excluding marijuana related charges)

- Must have reliable transportation

- Must be enthusiastic, friendly, optimistic, outgoing, and a team player

- This position requires the physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, kneeling, and reaching.

- Flexible schedule -- available days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays

- Self-starter. Somebody who finds the work that needs to be done.

- 30 day trial for evaluation, may need to travel for training.
