Job Description
Operates overhead cranes in the plant to strip panels from molds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Inspect all overhead cranes after use at the beginning of each shift, check crane limit switches and fill out checklist on crane.
· Safely transport panels.
· Safely hook panels up to strip from the mold.
· Inspect rigging daily after use.
· Maintain clean safe work area.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· High school or equivalent (GED)
· Experience with cranes or machinery a plus. Will train completely for each crane.
· Must be able to wear personal protection (PPE) such as work boots, respirators, hard hats, hi-vis vests, safety glasses and hearing protection.
· Works close by, and exposed to, moving construction vehicles such as forklifts, front-end loaders, cranes and tractor-trailers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Must be aware of locations and travel directions of other overhead cranes that may be in close travel proximity as not to hit or impact with other cranes.
· Some lifting of various weights from 5-50lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Indoor environment some limited outdoor.
· Moderate exposure to machine noise.
· Frequently exposed to moving overhead loads.
