Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Tester with our client in the financial industry located in New York, NY. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Collaborate with Product owner, scrum master, development, system and release management teams to certify and promote code to higher level environments Own test execution, Defect management, Test progress reporting and escalation of issues and risks Condition and generate test data in compliance with test data requirements Manage sensitive test data Demo functionality to UAT testers, user community and external stakeholders Evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data scientists, and product managers, to understand project requirements and align testing efforts Ensure testing activities adhere to industry standards and company policies for data security and privacy Requirements: 7-10 years in similar role Higher education in IT field or relevant previous work experience Experience in test automation frameworks for web-based UIs Excellent written & verbal communication, ability to multitask, work well under demanding situations, prioritize and meet deadline Experience with agile development methodologies, Jira and DevOps practices Experience in test planning one or more applications that span across multiple stakeholders Strong experience in developing and executing testing strategies for complex applications Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and test management tools Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or PyTest Understand and experience in data testing/validation Advanced skills in testing applications developed in Python, SQL/No-SQL databases and user interfaces Knowledge of data versioning and data management practices Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audience (business stakeholders, developer & support teams) Detail oriented & highly organized Adaptable to shifting & competing priorities Skilled at delegating, mentoring & setting expectations Problem solving skills to diagnose & resolve complex issues Committed and pro-active in ensuring high quality of service Desired skills: Experience with testing frameworks and tools specific to AI/Client applications Familiarity with cloud platforms and testing in cloud environments Pay Range: $54.79 - $62.79 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
