We are currently bidding on a long-term contract opportunity at Dugway Proving Ground. The WDTC Data Sciences Division (DSD) is responsible for providing information system and IT services to WDTC divisions and Department of Defense customers. DSD's Systems Architecture Branch includes cybersecurity, system administration, network administration, operational support, and software development teams, all of which are part of the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework.

This opportunity is contingent upon successful contract award and negotiation.

As part of this potential contract, we will be providing a Help Desk Lead with the following responsibilities:

- Log all requests for assistance and deficiencies in the government-approved trouble ticketing system, including project and cost details. Complete at least 80% of all change/trouble tickets within the required timelines (low - 48 hours, medium - 8 hours, high - 2 hours).
- Provide status updates for each open ticket upon any change in status, or monthly if no change occurs.
- Notify users of ticket status within 2 hours of creation or change.
- Monitor and update the backlog status at least weekly.
- Close tickets and notify customers immediately upon completion.
- Perform Tier II/III user support for WDTC DREN/SDREN core services.
- Adhere to ITIL processes for service desk duties.
- Support operating systems, servers, and software applications, including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and implementing solutions.
- Patch systems and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Manage and distribute software licenses for the TNET.
- Provide routine application patching and upgrade management.
- Act as the focal point for customer contact, including problem resolution, new service requests, and general IT inquiries.
- Perform imaging, system builds, and computer setup tasks.
- Provide user account support, including creating, updating, disabling/deleting, and resetting accounts.
- Identify and recommend system tools to address potential issues.
- Install authorized software packages upon request.
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair Windows and Linux-based servers, workstations, and laptops.
- Perform data recovery from backups and damaged storage devices.
- Write and update scripts to streamline system configuration and software management.
- Track and report on monthly updates of standalone computers.
- Maintain a Windows-based print server for the TNET network printers.
- Operate the Distributed Test Control Center (DTCC) Ditto Operations Centers as needed.
- Assess software applications not on the approved list, following local policies and procedures.
- Properly dispose of all hard drives and external media.
- Provide input and advice to the government on Help Desk procedures and processes, and assist with writing Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Required experience: Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a Desktop Support environment.
  • Minimum of one qualifying baseline certification: Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISSP (or Associate), CySA+, GICSP, CND, CASP CE, GSEC
  • Minimum of one qualifying computing environment or other relevant computing environment certification: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) (Desktop tracks), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) (Desktop tracks), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), A+, Linux+, MCITPJob Title: Software Developer

    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
    • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

    Education and Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • Relevant certifications as outlined in the certification requirements section.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with additional programming languages and development frameworks.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
